Sustainable value chains: from legislation to action

Discover, in the presence of the Federal Minister for Development Cooperation and a rich panel of speakers, the content and implications of the EU legislation on Human Rights and Environmental Due Diligence and the ways to act and collaborate to make value chains more sustainable.

What's in it for you?

  • Find out about the EU legislation’s main components;
  • Understand what action your organization can take and where to find support;
  • Meet and and team up with other actors.

What?

Due Diligence is a complex process that is still little known and understood, especially by the actors who have to act: companies.

What will the legislation require from companies, what can they do already and how can other actors mobilize to support them, bearing in mind that the main objective is to aim for positive impact in the value chains?

During this event, experts and representatives of private and public sectors and the civil society will share their knowledge and perspectives on how to take action and collaborate to have positive impacts in the value chains and operations abroad.

For whom?

All actors from the private and public sectors, civil society and academic institutions, in particular representatives of companies with a value chain and/or operations abroad (procurement and sustainability staff, CEOs...).

Why participate?

With the announcement of European and potentially upcoming Belgian legislation, it is time to take action.
